The champagne diamonds are graded on a scale of C1 the lightest possible, through to C7 which would be the darkest. The other colors have similar gradings. The intensity of the color in these diamonds can range from a faint barely seen color to a deep striking hue and they all look very striking and beautiful. As a rule the deeper the hue the more valuable the diamond is considered to be.
When seeking a champagne diamond it is important to shop around and look at the various hues available. It might be that a darker hue suits you more than a lighter one, or visa versa. Also the setting for the diamond needs to be taken into consideration when you have found the right color diamond for you. Is it to be yellow or white gold? Or perhaps platinum might be more suitable.
